RSVP: An Invitation to Volunteer

As the volunteer coordinator for RSVP of Orange County, Florida, I have the privilege of working with some of the most interesting and diverse people in this area. Our volunteers range in age from 55 to 96, and each makes his or her own contribution to help meet the needs of their community.

RSVP is a national organization with 750 locations throughout the United States. Being based in Orange County, we are fortunate to work with over 120 nonprofit and government agencies who provide us with some unique opportunities and challenges. RSVP volunteers can be found mediating at the courthouse, serving Meals on Wheels, visiting homebound seniors, being patient ambassadors at local hospitals, visiting sick and ailing adults and children with their pets, performing as singers, dancers or musicians, being docents at museums, mentoring children of incarcerated parents, helping law enforcement, assisting at performing arts venues, and the list goes on and on.

So, if you know you'd like to do something worthwhile with your time and skills, but you just don't know where to go or how to find that perfect match, give me a call. I'll talk to you and find out what really matters to you. I'll help you find an opportunity that you might not even know exists. Maybe this is your chance to try something new that you've never done before.There's so much opportunity to get involved and I'll help you find something that meets your schedule and your interests.
