My first Triathlon, Maybe yours Too!
“The race has started, and I know that I have to go all out in a sprint triathlon. I’m a boomer, and I’m new triathlon racing. It’s fun, but this is my first race, and it’s also hard, but it is still fun. I’ll rest a few seconds at the end of the pool on my next swim lap; I’ll make it look like my goggles need to be adjusted. I’m out of the pool now, putting on my bike helmet and bike shoes. The swim was fun. I trained on the bike, but maybe the swim tired me out a little. Oh good, a slight down hill portion on the bike course, now I can coast for a minute. Anyone can run a 5K. I ran one last month while getting ready for this ‘first’ triathlon. Running feels good. For some reason I’m not able to run as fast as I did in the 5K last month. The finish line. I feel great, that was a breeze. When is the next triathlon?”
