How's this for a super power -- the ability to re-generate! Captain America is back from the dead, almost a year after Marvel Comics killed him off.
Here’s the way it plays out, according to the Associated Press. Captain America's alter-ego, Steve Rogers, is still buried in Arlington National Cemetery … the victim of assassins. His sidekick from the 1940s, Bucky Barnes, has taken over the Captain America Shield and taken his pal's place.
The AP wonders, wouldn't Bucky be about 85 years old? Yes, but this octogenarian crimefighter has been in suspended animation for the last 60 years (put there by the Russians) so he still has the physical skills of someone in his 20s.
Marvel's Editor in Chief Joe Quesada told the Associated Press that the company considered bringing in a new character to take over as Captain America, but Bucky had been very popular when Marvel brought him back in an earlier plot twist.
Marvel says the move is already making Captain America comics as popular as they were in the 1940s. So in a way, a guy in his mid-80s is saving not only the world, but a troubled comic franchise.
If you could choose your superpower skills, which ones would you want? Leave a comment below!

Faster than a speeding bullet.
More powerful than a locomotive.
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman - who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel with his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights the never ending battle for Truth, Justice and the American Way.
