I am to understand that readers are not writers???
Does any one want to talk about books?
Well I will mention the two I am reading right now and see if anyone responds.
I am into book five, 'The Half Prince', of the Harry Potter series. These are such fun to read. That is my bedside reading because it does not take a lot of thought. Following Harry on his adventures and the experience of growing up is relaxing. Well sort of relaxing. The story get intense at time and you try to hurry and read faster because you want to know what is going to happens.
The second book is serious book for afternoon reading. 'Thank God for Evoluation' is a slow read. The premise the author is explaining is thoughtful. And some times the sentence structure is convoluted to the point that I have to read it a couple of times to get the thought right in my old brain. But I argee with him.
'Talk to you soon,
Jackie, the wanderer

Posted 2:28pm August 26th, 2008I love to read and to write - for me they go hand in hand. I spend a lot of time reading books for training and education, but I love to get lost in a great novel. I love Anne Rice, and Harry Potter too. Read them all with my son and I was more excited than he was!

Posted 6:03pm June 26th, 2008I love to read! I'm a big fan of Harry Potter. I am so sad there's not another book coming and I'm looking forward to the movies at least.(the last book is being made into 2 movies.. Yea!)
I just finished reading "Jane Eyre" again. I love that story...although I have to admit I skim through the long descriptions of flowers and foliage. (that gets a bit tedious for me)
The book I read before "Jane Eyre" was "Persuasion" by Jane Austen. I'm a big Austen fan and so I am going to see if I can get through all her books this summer.

Posted 10:22am June 26th, 2008I'm a reader! Life gets busy, but I always feel better when I take an hour or so to get lost in a great book. I haven't read either one that you're talking about (am I the only one that just can't get into Harry Potter?) but I am currently in the middle of Nickel and Dimed, and the last *great book I read was Eat, Pray, Love.
