Investing in Africa by EthiopianInvestor.Com

Africa wants her Sons, Daughters and Friends to come home, visit, work and be part of the dynamic economical, developmental, social and political CHALLENGES AND CHANGES sweeping the continent.
Africa has many challenges but has also much opportunity. The question is how we as the LARGER AFRICAN DIASPORA think alike to come together to compete with the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China) ?
We at NBI highly recommend a book titled China, Africa and the African Diaspora by one of pride and guide Dr. Sharon T. Freeman, an expert on Africa and China.
Special thanks to Dr. Desta Megho and Ethiopian Investor for sending us these valuable information.
Special Note: Registration by NBI for Ethiopian 2012 Peace, Spiritual Reconciliation, Health, Trade and Development Conference and Tour is under way. For further information, please contact me at: AfricanAndAmericanBusinesses@Gmail.com

NBI E-African Diaspora Community Bulletin. Re: “A Year of Inspiration” and Giving Back.

2010: A Year of Inspiration
Posted December 21, 2011, 8:47 am in Reinvent Yourself
In years to come, what will be your story from 2010? Even though our country is living through a period of unprecedented financial worry and hardships, there are still stories of hope to be found.
This year, the Growing Bolder team made it our mission to find the people who are still out there, living their dreams and proving that it's not about age, it's about attitude. We know a lot of you are doing your best just to survive these days, so it can sometimes be hard to take a step back and consider if what you ARE doing is what you WANT to be doing.
One of our favorite quotes is by the Cuban-French writer Anais Nin, who once said, "Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
As you look forward to how your story will unfold in 2011, we encourage you to take some time and draw inspiration from the following stories. The people featured below are living proof that it may not always be easy to follow your dreams, but you'll never regret it.
Happy holidays!

As I grow younger and tender at heart, seeking self peace and spirituality, librated from my own prison of conditioned mind, freeing myself from the life of Anger, Fear, Hatred, Vengeance and Racism, divorcing myself from my own story, my processions, and negative, critical and non supportive people, learning the wisdom of reaching out to my “enemies” (which I do not have) and many be some critics and skeptics of my own, and my many friends especially young Africans in the larger Diaspora and back in Africa, Ethiopia in particular and our T.E.A.M members of NBI (New Beginning Initiatives) of women and men of God, Peace, Spirituality, Community and Development, I am growing bolder in my thought chasing my legend by day, by the hour and by the minute and second as I breath.
(T.E.A.M “Together Everyone Achieves More&rdquo![]()
Now I know I am not alone, Growing Bolder I will go forward watching what I watch, what goes in my ears and my mouth and pray over what goes out of my mouth, living in the life of the NOW as my life is ONLY when I breath not in the past nor the future, as the future is to The Almighty God, God of all the seen and unseen the touch and un touch, the smell and the un smell, master of the universe.
Now I know, as President Nelson Mandela said, when I am on top of one hill I will find myself at the bottom of another taller hill next to me, I guess I must continue to climb to be on top of the mountain one day, as Rev. Dr. Marthin Luther King once said in Selma Alabama.
In the spirit of the holiday especially for those of us very concerned as what is happening back home in Ivory Coast and the rest of Africa and the world and here at home, and for those of us who have more than what we do not need for the day be able to support others, I would like to invite you to visit the following two sites inspirational and giving back respectively;

Passion and Love for coffee, for all those behind coffee from the farm to the cup
“Only those who love our work, and have a talent for it, can survive our training. The coffee you get from us is always, and only, prepared by people who love their work; only people with that strong emotional connection can muster the necessary spirit to struggle for the impeccability that we demand regarding their work making coffee in our coffeehouse. Those who have the spirit for our work still have to demonstrate a talent for it. Only those with talent can truly master the knowledge and skills that underpin the incomparable coffee that we serve everyday in our coffeehouse.
I still maintain total control over every batch we roast, and every drink we serve, by focusing our work at Misha’s in one location. Thanks for your interest in our work.”

Albert Camus, The Artist and His Time
In April, we cannot see sunflowers in France, so we might say the sunflowers do not exist. But the local farmers have already planted thousands of seeds, and when they look at the bare hills, they may be able to see the sunflowers already. The sunflowers are there. They lack only the conditions of sun, heat, rain and July. Just because we cannot see them does not mean that they do not exist.
The real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth.
Smiling is very important. If we are not able to smile, then the world will not have peace. It is not by going out for a demonstration against nuclear missiles that we can bring about peace. It is with our capacity of smiling, breathing, and being peace that we can make peace.
