What? Isn’t that from the Star Trek movies?  Yes…..the Jedi Knights somehow were able to draw great powers from their surrounding environment and universe, instilling them with super-human strength and some type of mental, metal bending powers.  That reminds me… I had an uncle who thought he was indestructible and could read minds, but his powers were concentrated in an oak barrel and wore off quickly leaving him with a mind-bending headache, if you know what I mean.

Now, I just rely on family, friends and co-workers to raise my spirits and they rely on me to reciprocate because we are all in it together.  Our residents and patients sometimes have to go long periods of time without seeing family or hearing from old friends so it is up to us to raise their spirits whenever we can. So, put a smile on your face and zip in your step – you may be the best thing that has happened to them all day long.

Yes, we are all in it together and if we all are doing our best to generate a positive attitude then it becomes infectious to others and then the “Force” will we be with us all. Amen!
