Maybe Good for Health Care----Students experience what it's like to live in a nursing home.
Excellent article in the New York Times--For 10 days students lived in a nursing homes, in wheelchairs or another devices. They got to see what it's like to live out your last days on earth. I wish this was a requirement for certified nurses aides to go through, before they allowed to graduate, or even anyone else who cares for the elderly. This might be the start of something good for health care.

Posted 6:22pm August 28th, 2009Thank you Ginnger, I couldn't agree more. Put a blindfold on for a day and know what a blind person goes through.

Posted 11:17pm August 26th, 2009I just read the article you included with your blog and I think it's a very good idea! I hope it's adopted at nursing schools and nursing homes across the country. As the saying goes: ....walk a mile in my shoes....
Thank you for sharing this with us.
