I used to take my body and its blessings for granted. Then one day, I began to lose my sight. I got it back after an operation, and I realised how wonderful it is to be able to see. Recently, I was taken to hospital for open heart surgery. I came out of that with a new awareness of how precious each breath I take is. Today, I have nothing to ask for, except that I might be further blessed by the chance to spend a few more years with my wonderful wife, and to see my children grow up.
