Disabilities
I have just launched my company called "Fishbowl Cards". It is a gift and greeting card company that focuses on kids and adults with disabilities. There is nothing like this in the marketplace and until now has been completely ignored. I'm using my 30+ years of experience in the social expressions industry to try and make a difference and give autonomy to those with disabilities and their families, friends and caregivers. My goal for "Fishbowl Cards" is to bridge a gap, breakdown a barrier and educate those with and without disabilities, through inspirational greeting cards, posters and figurines. I am in the process of developing the Fishbowl Foundation, where part of the proceeds will go to help someone with a disability jump out of the fishbowl and "fly" for a while. I am looking for avenues of exposure and would greatly appreciate any help or feedback you might have. Please visit www.fishbowlcards.com to view the line. I have designed two new holiday cards that are on the home page. Your purchase will help others. Thank you,Tina Finn

Posted 8:48pm December 4th, 2009Hi Tina, I know there are million social networks out there, but joining a few is a great way to promote your business. I actually launched one in September 2009 and we have a great photo feature that has allowed members who are artists, cartoonists and rock and roll bands to highlight their work. It is geared to the Baby Boomer generation and that is the demographic who (even in this economy) seems to have the monetary ability to still "make a difference". The web address is www.snabbo.com. We also have a Group feature and you could promote your cause by creating a group for kids and adults with disabilities to raise awareness. We are going to refigure the homepage and feature a new group every month so let me know if you do decide to join. Best of Luck to you, Barbara

Posted 9:43am November 25th, 2009Cute cards. How long has the company been around? My husband volunteers at local hospital gift shop. Your cards would probably sale well there. You might contact gift shop manager at CoxHealth.com
