I having to make a choice I would definately choose mental fitness. Look at what Stephen Hawking has accomplished. That being said we are responsible for taking care of our bodies as best we can. Physical activity brings oxygen to the brain.

Posted 9:14am December 7th, 2010Apparently with the news that came out last week on walking to increase oxygen to the brain and warding off dementia. Is it true? I have my doubts. I’d like to believe it, being I do walk 30 minutes a day, and it does make sense, but there has to be other things to effect the brain as: food, preservatives, fats, etc. I recently read two articles on fat and the brain. One said to eat fat, good fat that is, not fried foods. The other said high cholesterol played a part in the development of dementia/Alzheimer’s. Which do we believe? Babies need fat, 40 percent breast milk is fat, which babies need to grow their brains. And I wonder as we age and revert back to being babies do we not need fat for our brains? Just a thought?
