Are you Living "Groundhogs Day?"
commentary by Dwight Bain, Certified Life Coach
Does God care about Groundhog's Day? I don't think so, but some people sure do. If you aren't familiar with the tradition, an actual Groundhog, named "Punxsutawney Phil" wakes up on the morning of February 2nd looking for his shadow. Folklore says that if he can't see it then there will be 6 more weeks of winter weather. (BTW- he didn't see his shadow this week).
Groundhog's Day was also a popular movie (with Bill Murray) which showed a different concept than a furry animal popping out of a hole in the ground. The plot is built around a weatherman stuck in a sort of 'time warp' which caused him to habitually live out the same daily problems over and over.
Maybe you have felt like that. You know, different day, same problems. If your life looks like a 'merry-go-round' of relationship or career problems, know you are not alone because millions of people woke up this morning scared to face the day.
I am honored to work with a team of remarkable Christian Counselors and Coaches who really care about helping people break out of struggling through just another day to really experience life! Skilled professionals like Linda Riley, Aaron Welch, Deedra Hunter and Barb Waldron each have created resources to make today better. You can dig in to their insights and pass them along to your friends so they don't get stuck in living "Groundhog's Day" by visiting our shared blog with almost 300 articles at www.LifeWorksGroup.org or find counseling and coaching insights at our video channel, www.YouTube.com/LifeworksGroup
