Do you remember the song "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Old Oak Tree" made famous by Tony Orlando in the early '70? I have been singing it since we went to see Tony Orlando at the Welk Theater in Branson, MO. Tony and the Lennon Sisters are performing together in a delightful, fast-paced Christmas show. This show is a perfect blend of Christmas music and their old favorite hits.

Posted 4:11pm December 1st, 2009Hallo miss Dazey, the song was a real hit here too. The yellow ribbon around that tree puzzled me. I think it is a custom? To show a person is welcome?

Posted 12:33pm November 21st, 2009Hi Miss Dazey,
I not only remember it, but it's often one of the songs I use in my show for audience participation. During the instrumental portion I tell the audience:
"Okay, the next thing the song says is that the whole damn bus is cheerin'....and guess what? You're the whole damn bus! So I want everyone to make lots and lots of noise. Get ready, here it comes." It's a fun song.
I have yet to go to Branson, even though I have friends there. Maybe some day........
