Creating financially stable Artificial (?) Families to adopt orphans

Be careful where you take your vacation.

You never know what (or who) you might come home with or how it will change your life!

Making a long story short - I got stressed out from work, took a volunteer vacation to an orphanage, ended up adopting two children, saw the difference between children being raised in a family vs those still being raised in an institution and my life has not been the same since.

There is nothing like having a new mission/purpose in life!

Basically: Creating an economically self-sustaining community with financially stable families that can adopt orphans from orphanages into their homes.

The purpose of this project is to create a new paradigm of orphan care in and for our world.

We are NOT creating another orphanage. They depend on limited donations, rarely have sufficient food or other resources, and cannot provide the children with quality education, job skills, knowledge of family or social skills. Children grow up thinking that in life people just give you things. The children are not well prepared for their or their country’s future.

We ARE creating an Economic Development.  A community with proven businesses that provide jobs, skills training, food and the financial resources that help families of the community to be able to adopt more children from orphanages, and provide them with love, guidance,  education, computer and job skills, social and cultural activates that will prepare them for personal success and to become leaders in their own country.

Our project has:

·   IRS 501(c)3 exemption as a charity;

·   A master plan created by the University of Colorado College of Architecture & Planning;

·   Attorneys in US & Mexico working (pro bono) to create our legal organization in Mexico;

·   Accountants giving pro bono services in both USA & Mexico

·   Communication with governors’ offices in three Mexico states that are interested;

·   Support of the Denver Mexico Consul General;

·   Tacit approval from the Mexico federal government Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores in D.F.to proceed with this project.

Take a look at our website and then let me know what you think.  If you think it is worthwhile and want to help, let us know.

When people ask me "What's in it for you?" my answer is "All I want is to have a few thousand former orphans calling me grandfather."
