The invisible man returns. Sorry to be so long off the blog-waves...but as many Growing Bolders men and women in the world, I decided January 1 was the time to strike out on my own and leave the corporate world...and stake my own piece of the American Dream...

So, I've been working ( still in wine and food)  with clients as a liason in Supplier ( read wineries) and Retail negotiation in buying, developing programming, training sales and education partners with Masters of Wine types, distributors and more...and found myself working in the Caribbean with some cool resorts, Cruise Lines, great restaurants in Orlando  and soon some great national accounts.

I tell you this because moving into the light is scary at this particular age and this particular economic time...you're on the line and out there without a rope to pull yourself in...but it is exhilirating...rewarding...and I'm here to tell you that there is life after corporate welfare. And it's a blast!!!

Okay, so enough about that. I'm supposed to give you all a few cool tips on new wines, and man, have we tasted through some awesome stuff...

Look around for these cool and groovy new things:

Laurenz ' Sophie Sings' Gruner Veltliner ( Austria)  06.....check it out. Bracing acid. Fresh aromas of white peach, minerals and light citrus accents. This is one of my faves over the past month or so. Pricing around $11 -$13

Cono Sur Pinot Noir 'Vision' 06 (Chile)...find a better Pinot at this price ( around $12 -$15) and call me. Smoke and Red Fruit, great finish, great wine.

Torres ' Celeste' Tempranillo 05 Ribuero del Duero ( Spain) ...fresh red fruit, oak and spice in great package, but better, at a great price, around $12 - $15. Yum.

Lagar de Cervera Albarino 06 Riaz Baixas ( Spain) ...Citrus,stone fruit and mineral notes with great acid and a creamy long finish. price around $12 - 15.

Villa Maria Unoaked Chardonnay 07 (New Zealand)...great Chardonnay fruit without the trees in your glass. NZ whites hold up against the fruit with the good acid balance...a little rounder, a little more heft than the other whites we tasted. Loved it...and at around $12.00, it's a good bargain.

Okay kids, got to go, more soon.

Peace and Prosperity....
