I watched a CNN video about Barbara Hall who flies kites. She is 80 years old, has flown kites in just about every state and has a goal of flying kites in as many countries as candles on her cake. I don't know how to do the embed video thing, here is the link to CNN. http://tinyurl.com/yfbdlhq

I love flying kites!! Now why don't I do it now? Haven't done it for years, will have to learn again how. Bet I can do it though. I get this from my mother, she loved kites. She would take the grand kids to the park so they could fly a kites. Everyone knew it was Grandma who wanted to fly the kite.

Once I talked Bruce into flying a kite in our front yard. We didn't know what we were doing, had too many wires in the way, and the silly thing ended up stuck on the roof. Bruce had to climb up and get it down, which scared me and I haven't attempted to fly a kite since. Too bad, I've wasted 10 years of wind and fun.
