Math, Math, Math... and yet again... MORE MATH!  I'm so awful at math, but I'm homeschooling my seven year old.  She's been homeschooled since pre-school.  She had a brief stay at a public school this year after we moved back to Arkansas from Portland, Oregon.  It didn't quite go so well.  So I pulled her out at the last semester of first grade.  At the end of this summer she'll be going into second grade.

Its not like I don't know how to do math of her level.  Its how to communicate it to her.  She's pretty smart and gets alot.  THANK GOD!  Another thing is.. she wants to do SO much more.  She wants to know more about bugs, constellations, and other more advanced things and doesn't really care too much for math, phonics, language arts, and other type of "subjects."  She likes free learning, which I'm all for. 

However, I gotta make sure she learns the basics and doesn't miss out on the important things. 

Ho Hum, the hum drums of homeschooling!
