It's The CHRISTMAS Season

Christmas is approaching with the speed of a runaway train, and this year I've made up my mind that if anyone wishes me *Happy Holiday* they will get no response.       I'm tired of this  nonsense of pussyfooting around the reason for the season, in case it offends someone.       Well I'm offended by this Happy Holiday thing.       Last year there were even *Holiday Parties*  instead of *Christmas Parties*....... how ridiculous can you get?      
   I respect and honour others' beliefs, and I'm not a religious nut, but we get and give Christmas gifts, not Holiday gifts.      We have Christmas cake, not Holiday cake.       Christmas trees, not Holiday trees.        Then there's The Day itself.      We have Christmas Day, and we are given a day off work because of it.        If we can't admit to the reason for that day off, then maybe we shouldn't have it?      Or the gifts?        Or the cake and the rest of it?       Or the other celebrations, including office parties?      
   All religions have their special days and freely admit to, and celebrate them, as they definitely should,  so why not come straight out with our Merry Christmas!  instead of hiding behind Happy Holidays?        
  I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas season, with all you wish for with family and friends.
