My wife and I have fostered many dogs over the past 3 years.  Right now, we own 4 dogs (adopting Maddy, our most recent foster), and therefore can't legally have any more adult dogs in our house.  I thought I'd share a few pictures of our past foster dogs.

Here's Jackie:Our Foster Jackie

We now own a similar little girl with the same name...primarily because we kept accidentally calling her "Jackie" as well.

This is Daisy:

We found out how smart and diva-ish that Dachshunds can be, both from her and from Lizzie:

I've decided that I want to keep a Dachshund someday. I just think they're cool.

This little man is named "Mushy" for some reason:

He was nuts. I'm surprised I get keep him still enough for a clear picture.

Last but not least, our favorite foster ever, Maggie:Foster Dog Maggie

She had been abused before we got her. She was terrified at first, hiding under the bed for hours at a time. Eventually she learned to trust people again, and she developed a new habit...jumping onto the couch after dinner and demanding I play with her RIGHT NOW. She used to cower in fear of men, and now she was demanding my attention. It was a pretty cool transformation to behold.

    WOW!!!

The dogs sure are cute.  You and the Dachshund "Lizzie" look like you made a pretty good team.  I guess that most of your foster dogs have found good homes to go to with nice families to love them.  Maybe, when I retire you can find a good (not too big) poodle for me.  I don't want to deal with all of the shedding.

Keep up all the wonderful work that you do with the dogs, especially all four of my "granddogs".
