Reasons I'm ready for fall

I'm so ready for fall that I can hardly stand it. Here's my list of reasons, in no particular order:

Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks!
The return of college football and the NFL. Can't wait for the seasons to kick off!
Our daily highs in Orlando gradually going from 94 degrees to 88 degrees. It's not sweater weather yet, but hopefully I won't be so much of a sweater anymore!
Hanging up my fall decorations around the house!
Scouting out the perfect pumpkin patches to take my favorite little pumpkin
Finding my daughter's Halloween costume!

That's my list! What are you excited about as the seasons change?

Bonfires in the backyard. Pumpkins that other people have decorated. Helping my boyfriend cut and stack firewood, which combines the smells of beer, pipe smoke, leather, sawdust, and a gasoline engine under blue skies with a boom box playing music in the background and a quick smooch between heavy lifting once in a while. Hot chocolate in the evenings, spiked with a little Kahlua and some whipped cream and nutmeg on top. That seasonal thing that enormous flocks of starlings do when they make an airborne river flying south, passing over the woods at the fence line. Sugar maples blazing like they're on fire. Crisp, clean air in the evening with no mosquitos!! And finally, being able to watch the moon rise closer to the horizon once the trees in the forest around me have dropped their leaves.
