Oy, just what I need --- another blogpage.  I started one about ten years ago when Santa Claus brought me my very first PC  (only kidding, it really wasn't Santa, it was my daughter who gifted me w/the peecee).   Only we called our so-called literary mishmoshes "weblogs" then.  Or "web journals".   So veddy pretencious.  Eeeuu.

Whoa, what the heck am I doing here,  I don't even know what this website is about.  Well, sort of,  I guess.  I don't do very well with Twitter, it is totally impossible for me to say something......even the short "talks" that pass for cyberspace *conversation* like those Tweets and the whole concept of Twitter and Facebook and anonymous "friends".......and so on.

Shoot!  I can't say much of anything in 140 characters, that is definitely not MY venué --- I talk a lot.  Too much, actually.

Anyway, first I had a site called "The Mousetrap".   Then I went to "Meandthecat"  with the blogpage designed by my really smart kidlet who makes money creating very marvelous websites for people.  Who actually PAY her for doing that for them.  Amazing!

Now I am lurching around at WordPress, where I experienced a horrific disaster about a month ago.  I opened my PC one morning and was greeted with a 36 pt boldface font telling me *SERVER NOT FOUND*  .......  It was like a shot right thru the top of my head.  Like,  what in the blazes is this all about.  It is a month later and I still have not found all the pieces of the pages I already created.

WordPress is a fantastic entity in which to create a blogpage of extraordinary workmanship.   It's the cat's meow.   A marvel of efficiency in making a humble blogger look like a real pro.  A 'pro' of what I don't know, but it definitely does not make an amateur blogger look like an illiterate idiot.   It's the best.

So I will, one of these days, go back to the wreckage of what was the really great start I had with meandthecat.com/blog  and dedicate my life to restoration of this magnificent BLOG, which is mine.   All mine.  [It's hard to be humble]

Please don't try to steal my domain, OK?   My cat, "Snickers"  is a member of the very large, very hairy Maine Coon breed and everyone knows these babies are tough cookies, OK??

I can totally relate to this post! I have (had?) a blog that I kept on a near-daily basis. But it started to feel like a chore, so I finally tore myself away and stopped posting.

I prefer Twitter, because it forces me to be focused, and I can update often -- so I don't feel guilty when I miss a day, like I did with the blog!

I hope you'll keep posting here, whether it's small or large updates. I love your writing!
