Perfection

In Matthew's gospel we're admonished to be perfect the same way God is perfect. In the version of this same verse in Luke's gospel we're admonished to be merciful
the same way God is merciful who is merciful to saint & sinner
alike. I've come to realize that the person who is perfect in God's
eyes is the person who is willing to, with God's help, treat his worst
enemy the same way he would treat his best friend. Perfection then, in
God's eyes @ least, is treating someone else the same way God Himself
treats us.
