Three Baby Boomers in Mexico "The Tall Boys Band"

While many in the world may think that Mexico is a land of drug smugglers and flu bugs, for many retired Baby Boomers and open-minded adventurers, Mexico is a place where dreams come true and life is easy. At least that is the case for three counter culture renegades who met in Ajijic, a small village on the shores of Lake Chapala, minutes away from the bustling city of Guadalajara Mexico.

What began as an occasional gig at local bars and cantinas has become a weekly tequila throw down for both Mexicans and Foreigners looking for a taste of the good old days.

Who'd have thunk it - Flip Nicholson (Skipper), Joel Barker (Gilligan), and David Truly (Professor) > a retired sod buster, an ex-Navy man and a very absent minded professor - joined together as The TallBoys Band

After playing covers of “classic rock” (otherwise known as the same stuff over and over and over again) and 70s country rockers, they decided to spin their own tunes. It’s music about escaping the daily grind and living life in a land where friends and family take precedent over chasing the dollar, and a evening sunset beats the evening news every time.

This is the world of The TallBoys Band.  Listen to their music. Watch their videos and then come down to see them for the Best Party in the Americas! But Oh! Don't tell anybody - we wouldn't want people to get he wrong impression of Mexico - would we!!
