It took me a long time to convert to digital photography.  As in most things I do, I'm just trying to keep up with my  kids.  I have an I-Pod...but it's still in the box it came in last Christmas. Instant messaging?  Forget it, that's what phones are for!

But three years ago, just before I left for a long weekend in Germany to see my son who was there for a few months as a high school student, I picked up a small digital camera for the trip.  What the heck, all the kids had one, and I had a $50 gift certificate to Best Buy burning a hole in my pocket and ready to expire.  I picked something small enough to fit in my pocket, and read the basic instructions on the plane going over. 

Its been nothing but fun since.  Well almost, because there are times that the camera factors in absolutely everything needed for a perfect shot in low light...except for the fact that I'm human and can't hold the camera steady for that long a shutter speed.  I've now got a tripod, and I'm not afraid to use it.  So, in the realm of "new frontiers," I've now opened an online photo gallery of some of my better prints.  As with every new adventure, we'll see how this one goes!
