Using the Computer

I have been interested to learn more about how to use the computer because keeping up with our rapidly evolving, high-tech society, my community just added computer courses to its many amenities.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Lake Ashton's Instructor Mary Boseman teaches a Computer101 class at the Media Center in the central area. These classes are computer novices only with to ensure that no one falls behind - even people like me!

I am pretty caught up with basic computer stuff, but I am just so impressed to think that our Florida retirement community is thinking of its residents that are eager to get into the game and caught up on “what’s new.” Gearing activities towards newer concepts like Email and electronic documents is something that I think many communities should think about doing! Advanced classes are will be eventually offered for $10/class, which is still pretty cheap. Some residents are putting those on. But are there any good sites that will help us in the meantime? Has anyone heard of other new-aged topics that I could try to learn about?
