We have had the largest call up of our servicemen and women since WWII. In central Florida, the Gator Brigade was recently deployed in January 2010.

My wife and I support a non-profit charity named USA Cares. This group provides help to returning troops as well as needed family support during and after deployment. Check them out on their web-site www.usacares.org.

We are trying to get communities involved in fundraising for this organization, particularly those cities and counties in central Florida that are a part of the Gator Brigade. The fundraising involves selling t-shirts ($12), sweatshirts ($20) and/or golf shirts ($28) with the "I Care Too" logo.

Funds raised in Florida, stay in Florida. So far, this organization has provided more than $250,000 in assistance to soldiers and their families.

We are asking communities and businesses to become acquainted with "Red Shirt Friday", a concept that promotes wearing red on Fridays in honor of our troops.
