Since mid December we are in a real winter with lots of snow, which doesn’t happen every year in my country.  It is getting to the point that we want the snow to GO AWAY! Today there is a lot more than on this pic of me, taken last December. The yellow thing is part of  a project, a few of them  were placed here last year and they will stay for two years, you can read about it:

Birds are hungry, so we feed them seeds, fruit, bread and stuff, and they seem to like that.  One adventurous  Blackbird wanted to get in the house.  As we have a cat  (almost 19 but kicking) I decided against it.  The Blackbird is now looking very sad in my direction, trying to make me feel guilty I suppose. Sorry bird!  I once knew a person just like that. Are birds a reincarnation of some people we knew?

Meanwhile the cat wants to go out, but she will have to stay indoors, as she is too stupid to know it is not wise to freeze halve to death. So the birds have the backgarden all to themselves.

My family is still asleep, although it is almost 10 am. I will use this quiet moment to reflect with coffee and enjoy the birds.
