Are you working in retirement?

According to the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), 80% of baby boomers plan to work into their retirement years.
Since the tragedy of September 11th, many Baby Boomers had no choice but to enter early retirements when their company faced huge cut-back, including letting some employees with impressive tenures. Where did these employees go? To concentrate on their favorite hobbies – golf, fishing, sailing, traveling!
But is improving your golf game the most fulfilling for those who were used to leading large companies and managing departments? For some people no. And thanks to the Internet, these one-time business leaders have been able to use their retirement passions to fulfill their entrepreneurial spirit.
The internet is changing the individual career lives of retired adults. Now, you may think that “Career Lives of Retirees” is an oxymoron, but the idea is growing as fast as the Internet. Active adults not only use the Internet for news and communication. The Internet is being used to pursue a person’s favorite hobby…and many retirees are making money at it!
