Caregivers Need TLC, too.

This week's "Reality Bytes: A Message that Resonates" video is Perfect!   To paraphrase your video "blurb":   Every caregiver out there knows it's not easy. But I didn't even know about the Community Education & Resource Affiliation of Central Florida, C.E.R.A. - until now.  I would love to work with them to bring exposure to the services that my company offers.

Caregivers are what relationships are all about.  But under the best of circumstances, it can get very stressful trying to do everything that's expected of you and still maintain a "life" and your sanity.  I like to think I'm a fairly organized person, but without reminders, I would forget a lot of important stuff.

My company has developed an online automated reminder service that takes the worry out of any routine.  We have many subscribers who are "smack-dab" in the middle of the "Sandwich Generation".   They are caring for their teens and their aging parents (and themselves), and this is NOT easy.

Many of our subscribers schedule our automated phone calls to remind their independent Mom to "Go take your morning pills now."  or "Naptime is over"  as an afternoon wakeup call for Dad, so he won't get his days and nights mixed up.

These calls are non-judgmental, so the older generation won't feel quite so "pestered" by their adult children.   Best of all, the Boomer gal, who usually has to make these calls herself, doesn't have to remember to do it every day at the right time.  It's all done automatically.

This is an affordable service that runs $10 to $30/month, depending on how many calls you need to schedule per day.
The service was written up in AARP Mar/Apr '08 issue:
http://www.aarpmagazine.org/family/caregiving/caregiving_staying_connected.html

Interestingly, we've gotten several calls from AARP members and seniors who saw the print article but do not have a computer.  They want to try the phone reminders and most end up subscribing for the service.

Click on the www.OnTimeRx.com link in the article and take a look at our software reminders for your Windows PC.  Maybe some of you could use reminders for yourself or someone in your family!  Sign up for our free trial.
I'm sure you'll like it.
