A visit from my Mom

The other day after nagging for a few days my son got around to cleaning out the spare closet that belonged to my mom . He and my hubby use it to store rc plane parts in it, but I knew some where there was a box of pictures that belonged to my mom and I wanted to share them with my neice as alot of them had my sister and the rest of her family in them .He came out with the box and a couple of metal boxes and a plastic grocery bag. I opened the bag and after nine years of storage in that bag were 4 duster house coats that she wore at the nursing home.After she passed I brought them home and they got pushed way to the back of the closet and forgotten about.
As I opened the bag I began to cry not because of seeing them but because they still after all these years had her scent on them.She used V.O. 5  in her hair and wore Jean Nate' after bath slpash. When I smelled them I could have sworn she was in the room with us.Even my son said "Mom it smells just like Nana in here.
I put them in the laundry to wash and maybe take to the nursing home to donate as they were still almost new looking.
Now here is where it gets kinda funny.
I use to do all mom's laundry and she loved to keep kleenex in her pockets.
I sometimes would forget to check the pockets and would have a washer full of a shreded mess.
I would curse her under my breath then myself for not checking.
Well you can guess what happened when I washed them this time....Yep I forgot to check the pockets...shreded kleenex everywhere.
I started to laugh & cry at the same time. After nine years of being gone she still got me! I know she was having a good laugh over this saying I got you even being dead!
I feel so much closer to her and know it was a visit from Heaven.
I think it was her way of saying I will always be with you.
