Today I am going to start this blog out with a plea for some human compassion.
Mothers Day 2009 This Sunday..........
Help me make it a wonderful day for those who have been forgotten and lonely.
As you know from some of my blogs I work in a nursing home. You have no idea how lonely and depressed some of the women get around Mothers day.
Some have outlived their children, some have no families near, some do but no one cares about them or comes to visit. I think all Mothers need to be celebrated . It doesn't make a difference if it's your Mom or not.
It warms my heart to see them light up when they get flowers or just a card.
It also tears my heart out watching those that are not so lucky to get anything that tear up and look away.
Here is what I would like to suggest .
Pick up a card or some pretty flowers better yet both , and go to one of your local nursing homes and honor one of the special Moms that deserves to be remembered.
You never know you may even gain a friend out of the deal.
For those of you on the outside who are afraid of nursing homes...Get over your fear.
Every Mom needs love . I lost my Mom and now honor her memory in all that I try to do for all the forgotten Moms .
I ask you who's up for the challange?
Lets do our part in bringing some love and sunshine into some ones life!
Thanks for reading this.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOMS

What an inspiring blog. I'm going to take you up on your challenge. Mother's Day is past but Christmas is near. I am going to involve my whole family in sharing in the experience of giving to others. What better place to start than a nursing home where there are so many without families. Keep the blogs coming.
