I sit here writing this and wondering how we got here so fast.

It seems just like yesterday I had a 8lb 6oz healthy, happy baby boy.

I had him late in life I was 36 and had a few health issues but all went well with my pregnancy and delivery.

The joy he has brought me makes me tear up just thinking about it.

He has always been a good boy,a bit inquisitive, very loving and always wanting to help mommy & daddy.

I miss him being little and crawling up in my lap and giving me sticky kisses.

Ijust don't know how he grew up so fast. To say the words eighteen years sounds like alot of time.......I guess it is to someone not loosing something.

He went from playing with toy trucks to driving real ones.

He has never given us any trouble, does good in school and will graduate this coming June.

I know soon the time will come whe he moves out and that will kill me.

In my mind he is still my little boy needing me to watch out for him.

I know millions of mothers out there have gone through it ......the question is how?

They think that their eighteenth birthday they overnight become adults with adult minds and know everything.....rude awakining there!

As his birthday draws near (Monday Jan 5th) I get sadder and he gets happier,

Everyone that meets him loves him he is very outgoing...loves to fish and hunt and flies remote control planes in compitition and in shows.

He learned early in life about sickness and compation with his grandmother living with us.

I did my job as a mom and have to trust he listned to me on making the right decisions in life.

So I guess this is a tribute to my son and his acomplishments in his 18 years.

I'll end this with a Happy Birthday C.J.

I am proud of you.......But you will always be my little boy!

Your Mom........Sassy

We give our children the foundation.  It's up to them to branch out and bloom.  Your son sounds like he's tranforming into manhood nicely.  Congratulations!me

You put so well what I thought as my daughter turned 21 on Monday.  It is such a big change in how we relate then when they were little.

Enjoy your celebration with him Monday
