I want to call attention to the Red Hat Society.   It is great for the over 50 woman that enjoys socializing and having fun.  I didn't realize that a lot of women had never heard of the Red Hat Society until I joined our local Mayberry Madhatters.  When I would mention I was a member and how much fun it was, I discovered that some had never heard of it.

The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with verve, humor and elan.
As stated on the society's website.  I wanted to share the society so others could find one in their area and enjoy the company and friendship of others in our age group.

We go out to lunch the first Wednesday of every month.  Sometimes we have a tea luncheon.  We dress up for halloween.  We have a Christmas party.  We go to dinner theaters and historic homes.  All in all we just have plain good old FUN!!

I hope if you are over 50 you will check in your town to see if they have a Red Hat Society.  If not you might want to start one yourself.  You can go to their website at redhatsociety.com and get all the info you need to join.

Happy Red Hatting.

The Lavender Roses of Northampton, Western Australia have just celebrated their first birthday.   And what a year it has been.   I heard about Red Hatter a few years ago, and boy, wish I had joined/created a chapter before this.   I now have RH friends across Aussie and now, in the USA.  Hello all...
