I currently work for a company that I have the priviledge to lead others. You sometimes hear comments like "you make the big money" or "they're just a number". That cannot be farther from the truth. My job is to lead whether through a new change, take the time to listen if they are going through a personal problem or laugh with them and give encouragement. We sometimes get so caught up in the goals we need to reach that we forget that we are dealing with fear and feelings that are real to those we serve.
I recently worked with an associate through coaching. It was a long journey, month after month giving him encouragement to succeed. One day it all came together. The fear was gone. It was replaced by a smile. He had succeeded. I came around to give my usual "I am so proud of you" pep talk. He was smiling and happy. He said to me "you really don't you know why I'm doing good do you?" I said "tell me, why?". He said because of you and the words you always said to me "you have to believe in yourself to succeed" and I will never forget those words. What he said to me, I will never forget the rest of my life. They had an impact on me so by encouraging him, he in return inspired me to continue to reach out to people. Just think of the difference someone can make in a person's life just by taking the time to give a few words of encouragement or inspiration. If anyone has any inspiring stories, please share them.
Thank You, Linda

That's a beautiful story, and a reminder to all of us that every word out of our mouths means something to someone. I'm sure the story would have been much different if you had not been spreading compliments and positivity!
