300 mile bike ride

 On Feb 13,2011  I participated in a 3 day, 300 mile bike ride from the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa to the state Capitol in Tallahassee.  The purpose of the ride was to promote awareness of the importance of cancer research funding for Moffitt.  As a 6 time cancer survivor I felt this was a good way to give something back to Moffitt where I have had excellent care.  After the ride we spent an afternoon meeting with legislators and lobbying for funding. 
While I had a sore butt for 3 days, I hope it pays off with money allocated in the budget for cancer research.
