Wow, we just found a great example of how the internet keeps becoming more and more relevant. Our good friend, Zahid Buttar is the real deal! A hard core athlete who turned a successful college career in swimming into a lifelong career as a cycling and triathlon participant, coach and event promoter. Now, he seems to have taken it to the next level. With the help of another web site, Justin.tv, Buttar provided live coverage of the ITT Senior State Cycling Championship. It was one camera, in one spot, but a great way to bring activities like this to fans, enthusiasts and every day people looking for some extra motivation to get out there and get active.
Check out Growing Bolder's wonderful story on the recent
Masters Triathlon Championship. And let us know if you'd be interested in seeing more stories, videos and coverage on all types of masters athletics competitions.

Posted 12:45pm May 17th, 2010Cycling doesn't have to be about trying to be Lance at an advanced age.
In fact, I believe this intimidating approach does more harm than good.
It's simply about getting on your bike - any bike.
Here's a little demo about folding bikes I did at a Senior Center.
Those "oldies on foldies" brought tears of joy and hope my eyes.
