For those of you who love to watch motorcycle racing, you missed some great motocross racing this weekend in Citra, FL.  It was the 6th Annual National Vet Motocross Championship  There were 300 racers in attendance, and they ranged from 6 to 62.  Some of the best racing was between the 60 year olds, especially a couple of old motocross veterans named Tom Bragg from Florida and Gary Peak from Illinois.  These two young at heart fellows were showing the kids how its done.  Last year Tom beat Gary in every race, but this year Gary was determined to win, and that he did.  Gary had been the national amateur champion when is was a youngster in his 40's.  Tom has been a dominant racer in Florida for the past 30+ years, and both of his sons race.  Both Gary and Tom will be back next year, and you can bet that Tom will be ready for another battle with his long-time friend.  I must say that Tom had some trouble with his bike in two of the races, but he's not making any excuses.  The best man won this weekend, and that's the way they both look at it.

Mark your calendar for Sunday, February 21, 2010 if you want to see these Veterans of Motocross battle it out on the track.

The above picture is Tony Larruso from Connecticut.  Tony won the over 30 Pro class, which is has won the last four years.
