Well it finally happened.  Guess I just bragged too much.  My computer had to be reset after no problems with it for 8 years.  I bought it on a trip to Atlanta while my husband was at a business meeting.  I hear people always complaining they are having problems with their computer and I would always say...I've had mine 8 years and no problems.  Recently it started running slower and slower and it got to be so aggravating, my husband suggested I restore it to the factory installation.  Well, I've been working on this thing all day trying to upgrade all the programs.  Download things like flash and adobe.  You know, basic stuff.  Well, when I tried to use my Home Office programs it asked for the product key.  Wouldn't you know it..I can't find it anywhere. I have looked through my computer folder several times hoping it would appear.  Now what am I to do?  I've tried a couple of the programs online that says to recover the product key, but it is for Windows XP and not the Office program.

If anyone has any ideas as how to recover my product key for Office...PLEASE let me know.  At least I can get online and it is a good thing I have a webmail account.
To be continued.........

Rena...I did try googling for the product key.  Ended up getting an Office off ebay.  It was only $30.  Now I'm waiting for my new memory to come in to speed this thing up.  If that don't work I'm definately going to get a NEW computer. I found one online at the HP store with 6G of ram and 650G hard drive.  $1200.  with the new office program.

Good Luck! I tried to find mime a few months ago with no luck.  I bought the student edition which was a little cheaper than the standard one.  After installing and using for a couple months I found my CD of Office that had the product key on it.

To try and find the key for office, I typed in finding product key for Office and went through all the suggestions.  Have you tried that yet?

There is also a free "Office" online that I tried to use but could not get use to it so bought the Student Edition.
