Posted 11:50pm October 28th, 2009Thanks Darrel , For the response on my Blog , Yes you have great advice, Safety is first.
As todays "Rat Rod's " are so deferent than the past, they must pass all state requirements
and do it looking Ratty. I must say what a great car you have built ,one of my favorite body lines. Can you load up more pictures for us and more info on the progress.

Posted 7:57pm October 28th, 2009I like the aggressive stance of a ratrod but find most are poor constructed and go for shock value rather than style factor. As a hotrod enthusiast I'm concerned about poorly constructed rods which draws bad publicity and opinions on all of us in the hotrod culture. If you're serious about building a ratrod make sure it's done with safety in mind. Have a frame professionally constructed with proper suspension components.
This is not a ratrod but it is my vision of what a full blown custom streetrod shoulld be. This is my 1950 Studebaker Streetrod, a 12 yr project in it's final completion stage.
