Just another WordPress site
Pardon the pun, but you'll see why I can't resist.
This weekend, our family went to the overwhelming and very cool corn maze at Long and Scott's Farm in Mount Dora, Florida.
It's HUGE. Look at all those acres of corn stalks to navigate through!

After realizing how big it was, we stuck to the mini-maze. Seeing as how we had a 2-year-old leading the way, the last thing we wanted was to be trapped in the maze -- with no potty for our newly potty-trained toddler!
She loved it though! She was like our own little Dora the Explorer, leading us left and right through the maze. And for a "mini-maze" it wasn't so mini. It took us at least 30 minutes to hit all the chalk stations (you were done once you'd been to all five chalk stations)

After the maze, we even got to take a hayride. It was a little dry for the little ones (all about the farm's growing practices, irrigation systems, etc) but I think she was just happy to be sitting on a haybale and holding an ear of corn.

I grew up spending weekends and summers on my grandparents' dairy farm, so it brought back a lot of fond memories for me and reminded me how important it will be to teach my daughter about her heritage.
