When I get out to Dallas this time of the year I hope that I drive at night because the lights are just beautiful. There are a couple of ranches on the ride from Shrieveport, LA to Dallas that are just spectacular. They have the forest light up...well, like a Christmas tree. I can't imagine how long it takes them to set this place up but it must take months. People don't even have to get out of their cars to see the displays. Talking about cars, they are lined up for about a mile waiting to get in and drive around the place. I could never get in there with the big truck and the doubles but you can see quite a bit of it from the highway. It drives the Texas Rangers and the Highway Patrol crazy when the traffic on the interstate slows up to see the lights. That's where the backup is. So if you're out around Marshall and Longview, Texas, watch out for slow moving traffic at night on the interstate.
Well I gotta go.
Happy Trails,
George
