Brenda Lee celebrated 50 years as a recording artist in 2006, so a few us friends and fans got together and threw her a surprise party in Nashville. She was really surprised and couldn't believe we were able to keep it a secret from her. She invited us all to her house the next day for a cookout. She did the cooking. I was admiring her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame trophy and she said I could have my picture taken with it. So of course I did. Here is the picture of me with the trophy and a few extra pounds back then.
I hope this works, because I have never inserted a photo in my blog before.

Posted 3:07pm February 9th, 2009How exciting! It's funny, I was just talking about Brenda Lee this morning. As you probably know, she was a featured guest on the Growing Bolder Radio Show not that long ago (click here to listen to the interview)
I saw some footage this morning from last night's Grammy's and they said she received a lifetime achievement award but was not there. Do you know where she was? A previous engagement? I would think any client who have let her off the hook for such a big honor?
