On Saturday I headed for Newberry, SC to see Brenda Lee at the Newberry Opera House. I left home around 8:30 a.m. and about 30 miles down the road I was going over, in my head, the things I had packed. I don't know why I do this, but I do. Well, I realized I had forgot the most important thing...My CAMERA. I panicked. Then I thought, I'll just stop at Wal-Mart and get me another digital camera. Then I remembered you have to charge them when you first get them, so that was out. Then I thought, a one time use camera. So I stopped at a store and got one made by Kodak. I figured that should be fine. Back on the road again, brain still in gear, I thought I have a camera in my cell phone. That will work. So I felt a little better. I had things covered.
When I got to Newberry I met several of Brenda's fans and told them my story about my camera and they said not to worry they would get a photo of Brenda and I together. Long story short....Brenda gave a great performance as usual. We got to chat and catch up a little. Below is the photo taken with my cell phone (not too bad for 1.5 mp) and as soon as I get the film developed in my one time camera I'll put them in my media section, and Brenda's fans said they would email me copies of their photos.
Oh, and by the way...My haircut don't look too bad in this photo, after all it is 3 days old and I didn't use the spikey stuff on it.

Posted 5:01pm April 8th, 2009Thanks Bev...Brenda still looks the same. I guess my favorite Brenda Lee song would be, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". But I like all her songs as she is my favorite. She could sing the phone book and I would like it.

Nice photo! Brenda Lee still looks the same (or do I need glasses)
I can't tell you the number of times I've left video and camera equipment at home when I needed it most. I should invest in Kodak stock.
By the way, what's your favorite Brenda Lee song?
