Kerouac Book Optioned!

Greetings Growing Bolder!
I'm happy to tell you I just finished optioning my Kerouac in Florida book to Urban Myth productions in London. They're hoping to produce in to a film a screenplay based on it.. Basically an option means they pay you to take the rights to the work off the market for a year or two while they try to produce it. The Urban Myth team is sending the project to Matt Dillon and Johnny Depp. It's a longshot, but who knows?
I'm looking forward to the regional Emmy awards in Orlando Saturday where I'm lucky enough to be nominated for best non-deadline feature story along with Growing Bolder photojournalist, producer, artist, and digiwizard Jason. Fingers crossed.

Posted 10:48pm December 2nd, 2007Congratulations, Bob! I'm feelin' Johnny Depp. Would this be a biopic? A docudrama? It's well deserved recognition of you and your work. By the way, what ever happened to Francis Ford Coppola's On The Road. I read a couple of years ago that it was finally being produced but now nothing. Or did I miss it?
