Welcome to the first official edition of the Growing Bolder Insider. As an Insider, you get an unvarnished behind-the-scenes look at our successes and failures as we start up an ambitious Internet-based content and social networking platform. You also get a sneak peak at some of the content we're working on and, as promised, you'll be allowed in to check things out before we launch. If you like the Insider, please use the "send to a friend" link and spread the word. We're about a month away from launching the site and are thrilled to have you as an Insider.
The camera never blinks. Join the GB gang on their daily adventures as they show you the whole story, warts and all. Ride along and experience the laughs, the stress and the frustration of becoming Internet entrepreneurs. The only thing you won't share is the fear of losing your life savings, the long days, the disbelievers and the battle with well-funded cut-throat competitors. GB TV is your front row seat to reality TV... Growing Bolder style. Click image to watch.
We've got a team of GB Gurus. These are the kind of people you want to sit next to at a dinner party. They're fun, interesting, acomplished and, best of all, they want to help you achieve your dreams. Growing Bolder Guru Roger McGuinn is the founder of The Byrds (you know -- Mr. Tambourine Man; Turn, Turn, Turn; Eight Miles High) and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. He's also 65 and still making incredible music. Coming soon -- the ultimate Insider experience -- a world premiere and Growing Bolder exclusive -- "Roger on Rails." What's that? Stay tuned.
Growing Bolder Radio, there's nothing like it anywhere. This week's Insiders Interview features the legendary Stan Lee. The 85-year-old is the creator of Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and The X-Men. Lee is the guy who gave Super Heroes character flaws like the rest of us -- greed, jealousy and vanity. He made them more human and made us care more. Amazingly, Lee is more creative and more excited about life now than ever before. Feel the energy as Stan Lee talks about Growing Bolder.
As Director of Web Content, Jackie Shaner Carlin is our Spiderwoman. Jackie's a big-time talent who covered politics and the 2000 election for ABCNEWS.com, produced former White House chief correspondent Sam Donaldson's daily Webcast and helped launch Sam's nationally syndicated talk radio show. Jackie was on the Web staff at WESH.com, the NBC affiliate in Orlando, Fla., and covered the Torino Winter Olympics for NBCOlympics.com before joining the GB team. She likes to bowl with her husband Jim and hang out with her two dogs Lucy and Homer.
This is what the buzz is about. Ruth1898 is 109 and the world's oldest blogger and oldest member of a social networking community. Ruth1898 is the real deal. She's lived in three centuries and calls herself "Mother Methuselah." She once met Hitler and hung out with Eleanor Roosevelt. Ruth1898 says memories are the grease that keeps her mind healthy. Listen as Ruth1898 explains what it's like to be 109 -- a sample of what she posts exclusively on GrowingBolder.com. Click image to watch.
In the next Growing Bolder Insider: Cracking the Code. A look at the GB Young Guns and and the feature set they're building for you. Send to a Friend and be sure to tell them to sign up at www.growingbolder.com so they can be a GB Insider, too!
