It seemed like folk music legend Tom Rush had forgotten how popular he was in the '60s, because when his "Remember Song" went viral on YouTube, he was surprised. His humorous song about baby boomers is an Internet sensation and now, Rush has really become a household name. It's gotten more than 3 million views and he's gotten even more recognition, giving people a reason to remember him.

It didn't take much for one of the top TV writers and producers in the business to seek revenge against the city of stars after Hollywood gave her the boot. Instead of sitting quietly and taking the hit, Sara Davidson struck back and wrote the book, "LEAP! What Will We Do With the Rest of Our Lives?" about ageism in Hollywood. Now, all the major television networks are bidding on the book. Ironic? Maybe. Bold? Of course.

April 8, 1973
Artist Pablo Picasso dies at age 91. He is prolific to the end, producing a torrent of paintings and etchings that are the most colorful, expressive and daring of his career.

April 8, 1974
Hank Aaron of the Atlanta Braves hits his 715th career home run, breaking Babe Ruth's record. The record stands for more than 30 years, until Barry Bonds surpasses it.

April 9, 1959
NASA announces the selection of America's first astronauts. The "Mercury Seven" are Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton. NASA had originally talked about recruiting trapeze artists as astronauts, but eventually decided on using test pilots.

April 9, 1970
Paul McCartney announces a "temporary break with the Beatles," citing "personal differences" with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. One week later, McCartney releases his first solo album, spelling the end of the Beatles.
