Art can be a difficult career. If the medium you choose is concrete, it is downright hard!

So why create in concrete instead of clay? Kia Ricchi says it's a no-brainer.

Because with no other medium does the artist have the opportunity to create something the public can not only touch and feel, but physically become part of.

Concrete is ideal as a structural medium capable of withstanding physical contact and the wear and tear of natural elements.

Kia creates large scale projects that become focal points for cities, universities, office centers and recreation areas.

But concrete has a much more practical purpose as well. Contractors and artists around the country are bringing concrete into the home.

Kia also designs highly artistic counter tops that incorporate tile mosaics, acid staining and decorative cut patterns.

    Hi

I agree that people should follow their dreams and do what they do best.

My art is flower arranging, and I only regret that it is not permanent like other art works.
