Just about everyone dreams to take a couple of weeks off from work, forget about the stresses of life and get away to a wonderful location. Author Robert Sullivan's new book, "Dream Destinations: 100 of the World's Best Vacations," attempts to make that dream a reality.
Sullivan, Editorial Director of Life Books and author of the New York Times Best Seller, "One Nation: America Remembers September 11, 2001," set out to find the ultimate vacation by first learning about people's desires when it comes to an escape from everyday life.
He even thought things through and broke the book into parts to help everyone find the vacation of his or her dreams. There are categories for romantic, adventure, historical and family vacations.
Besides his newest challenge, Sullivan has had a varied career and written a biography on Pope John Paul II, one about the Boston Red Sox and Tony Bennett.
He talks with Growing Bolder about what he did to research the perfect vacation and what eclectic project he has planned next.
