Author Ted Skup's new book states three things people may dread. "Death, Taxes and Push-ups" is a book dedicated to the simple push-up. He also explains how important push-ups are to people of all ages.

Skup, who's done upward of 10 million push-ups himself, says it's the perfect workout for men, women and children. Skup, who believes there is no need for a workout machine, is probably the fitness industry's worst nightmare.

He's trying to start a global revolution around the push-up and he's getting there.

He talks with Growing Bolder about the techniques to make sure the push-up is done properly.

A man after my own heart!  My book, "Fit for Free Forever" has the same philosophy.  You don't need expensive equipment and special clothes, diets, or anything else to be fit and fat-free forever.  What you do need is the incentive to do something and a small amount of self-discipline.

I even have posted a video on here of me doing 30 push-ups on my 64th birthday.  Now, I have gone back to doing them on my knuckles because I like the exercise better that way.

As someone who has probably seen all of the home-fitness equipment and even owned a Nautilus facility, I feel that over 90% of the home machines are worse than useless.

As I always say, "Excuses are easier and action" and, "How much better will you be by doing nothing?"  Get off the couch and do something, even if it's very little compared to Ted Skup.
