He's best known for his Emmy-award winning performance as super-spy Napoleon Solo in the iconic 1960s TV series "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."

Robert Vaughn is also an Oscar-nominated actor who has appeared in more than 100 feature films. But did you know he was the first big-time actor in the nation to come out publicly against the Vietnam War? Did you know he helped convince Robert Kennedy to run for president in 1968?

Today, Vaughn is a gifted writer who has just completed a fascinating memoir about his 50 year showbiz career entitled, "A Fortunate Life." Hard to believe he almost never made it, since he was drafted into service by the Army! He dishes on his romances with famous leading ladies, and what it was like to share the stage and screen with some of the biggest names in the business.

"I didn't know that!" was the refrain I repeated throughout this GB audiocast. Anti-war activist, close friend to Bobby Kennedy, still so busy and informed and he has a doctorate (or at least an ABD) to boot! Thanks for the re-introduction to a great actor.
