Crooner Bobby Vinton sang many of the songs that we fell in love to.

His first hit song, "Roses Are Red," was released in 1962, and through 1972, he had more No. 1 records than any other solo male artist.

He talked to Growing Bolder about his hugely successful career, which includes selling more than 75 million albums, and how, at the age of 72, he continues to headline shows across the world.

Someone has to be the first, might as well be me. Loved your music then and still love and listen to it today, never grows old. Thanks for your time you put into it for us. It was played at my Mother's Funeral, her request. Thisis how much you were loved and still are by us.  Thanks..Patricia
